Shipwrecks of the Mid-Atlantic: DE, MD, and Southern NJ
Read about the doomed liner Morro Castle, which caught fire the night the captain mysteriously died. Her crew, involved in smuggling drugs, contraband, and illegal immigrants abandoned the drifting ship without regard for the passengers. The burning liner was finally pushed ashore off Ashbury Park by high winds.
Also included are seven drawings of famous shipwrecks as interpreted by the artist: the Andrea Doria, U-869, Vizcaya, Morro Castle, Sindia, New Era, and Rio Tercero!
